Alpha Delta Pi is proud to participate in University of Delaware's Panhellenic Formal Recruitment! Below you can find information about each round of recruitment.
round 1: open house
In this round, you will get an overall feel for what sorority life is like. We will welcome you into the room with our chant, and you will get an introduction to what our chapter has to offer. In this round, you will also preview our recruitment video.
Round 2: sisterhood
This round is unique in that you will get a closer look into what makes our sisterhood special. This round, you will get the opportunity to know our sisters a little better.
round 3: philanthropy
You will learn about our national philanthropy, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and our local philanthropy, the B+ Foundation. During this round, you will hear about why our philanthropies mean so much to us, what we do to help, and how you can get involved.
last round: preference
Preference is the most formal round. In this round, you will understand what it means to be a sorority woman, and you will see why we are so passionate about our sisterhood, and what joining a sorority has done for us, and the connections we've built. This is where you will make your choice on which chapter you want to call your home.
Finally…BID DAY!
This past year's Bid Day was 'Out of This World!' The theme was NASA, and we welcomed our new Alphas home by celebrating in space-themed outfits, decorations and ate lots of good food! It was a great event to wrap up recruitment, and we all had so much fun learning more about our new Alphas and getting to share some of our traditions and chants with them!
Formal Recruitment 2022 Schedule
Formal Recruitment 2022 will be conducted virtually for some rounds due to the present conditions of COVID-19. Because of the format change, the recruitment schedule is different from what it typically would be in any other year.

Becoming an Alpha Delta Pi member allows you to become a part of something much larger than yourself. We are committed to sisterhood, strengthening character and personality, values and ethics, and holding academics to a high standard. Just like our colors, azure blue and white represent, you will find friendship, sincerity, and truth within Alpha Delta Pi.
Sisterhood is the foundation of the Theta Delta Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi. From Bid Day, ADPi is a welcoming, fun, and supportive environment that allows you to meet your future roommates, classmates, and forever friends. Your time as a college student is limited, but our chapter offers sisterhood and other social events to create memories and unbreakable bonds that will last forever.
Alpha Delta Pi will be your home throughout your college experience that will provide you with countless opportunities to serve the community, grow your leadership skills, explore your strengths, and build authentic connections. Have the chance to live in our sorority house, which is home to 15 of our sisters. Residency in the ADPi house is a once in a lifetime experience that provides opportunities to be more involved in the chapter. You can rely on your affiliation with Alpha Delta Pi to provide you with skills, life lessons, and essential connections after graduation.
